Being More Mindful

Being more mindful of our mental health has really become a greater focus over this past 12 months. Let’s explore some of the ways we can take care of our mental health and improve the quality of our day.

These past 12 months have really brought us on quite a journey. Our routines got totally transformed, time spent hanging out with friends and family was reduced and many have really felt the stress that living through these Covid times has brought.

Being mindful of our mental health is equally as important as when we are feeling unwell physically. Talk about our mental health, how we are feeling, may be challenging at times, but it’s so important that we do, as how we are feeling in our mind has a huge impact on how we are feeling on our bodies. Positive mindsets bring about positive experiences in our days. It can help us deal with challenging situations much better, manage our stress levels and feel more confident in life.

There are so many suggestions that we could offer you as to how to improve your mental health and wellbeing, but it’s important that you follow the ones that feel right for you. Making changes can be hard at times, so set yourself realistic goals, targets that you know you can meet with a little effort. Set yourself up to succeed and watch your self confidence and positivity grow!

And remember, reach out if you need someone to talk to about how you’re feeling, it could a family member, a friend or even one of our Youth Work Team.
